Black Friday 2026: Student Discounts on Sale Items

UK: codes that work on sale items

Brand	Rule for sale items
Hollister	10% on full price and sale, online (UK only)
schuh	10% online and in store, including sale (UNiDAYS)
The Body Shop	10% in UK stores, including sale items
Debenhams	Extra 10% on selected brands, including sale
Acer	Extra 5% on discounted items

From Student Beans and UNiDAYS, checked in October 2026. Black Friday promotions can come with their own terms.

UK: full price only

These student codes only cover full-price items, according to their terms: Monsoon, Pandora, PrettyLittleThing, Ted Baker, Skechers, Crocs, River Island, JD Sports. For these brands, compare the sale price with the full price minus your student discount and pick the lower one.

US: codes that work on sale items

Brand	Rule for sale items
boohoo	Extra 15% including sale
COS	10% on full-price and sale items, online and in US stores
Princess Polly	Extra 5% on sale
Lenovo	Extra 5% on top of sale prices (ID.me)

From Student Beans and ID.me, checked in October 2026.

Cyber Week exception: Salomon

Salomon limits students to five codes a year and normally excludes sale items, but its FAQ on Student Beans Germany says the codes can be combined with reduced products during Cyber Week. See Salomon for the details.

Worked example

A £120 coat is 25% off in the sale, so it costs £90. If your 10% code also works on sale items, you pay £81. If the code only covers full price, it would bring the coat to £108, which is worse than the sale. Always work out both prices.

How to prepare

Verify your Student Beans and UNiDAYS accounts before the day.
Make a wish list and note prices now, so you can tell a real discount.
Grab codes close to checkout, as some expire quickly.
Check return windows, especially for impulse buys.
Set a budget: a discount only saves money on things you were going to buy anyway.

Tech on Black Friday

For laptops, compare education prices with retailer deals; see student laptop discounts and the best time to buy a MacBook.
